Why we chose our name
| In choosing a name we wanted something that would indicate that we were in Texas. Nancy has always loved roses and the popular song 'Yellow Rose of Texas' inspired the initial part of the name. The yellow rose is so identified with Texas that we had to use it. | |
| Initially we wanted to be called 'Yellow Rose Ranch', but soon found that there were lots of other ranches
(even some in other states) with that name. When we decided to raise Angora Goats as well as Alpacas we realized that we were growing fiber
like other farmers grow plants. From there the name 'Yellow Rose Fiber Farm' came naturally.
Our son John, a trained graphic artist, designed our logo and business card. |
